Royal College of Physicians Wedding Reception

Marika & Chris were married at home in New York City, but decided to hold a reception in Chris’ home country of Scotland. Their friends & family gathered from all over the world, including Sierra Leone where they met, to celebrate Chris & Marika’s marriage at the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh. On the day, prior to guests arriving, I took some portraits of Chris & Marika around RCPE, nearby Edinburgh streets and the Queen Street Gardens, which the college grants wedding couples access to. As guests arrived, they enjoyed cocktails and canapés in the New Library before moving through to the Great Hall for dinner and some speeches. Top Tier Brass brought in an energetic end to dinner, guiding guests out of the great hall and into the new library. There’s something special about live brass music at weddings, particularly in old venues likes the Royal College of Physicians and Top Tier Brass are one of the best. Once the Great Hall had been cleared, the Sultans of Fling kicked of a ceilidh, followed by a DJ set to round of the night.
