HEY!
My name is Simon (he/him) and I am a photographer and filmmaker based in Edinburgh, Scotland, but I travel all over the UK & overseas for weddings & travel commissions. I grew up in the south of England and moved to Edinburgh in 2021 with my partner Divya and have felt right at home here in Scotland. We live in a flat in the city with our two cats and are often found wandering about town, checking out the newest cafe, having dinner with friends, or taking a walk at the beach.
I’ve been a photographer for 10 years now, initially working in the outdoor photography space. I now predominantly take on travel, editorial and wedding photography & films across Scotland and further afield. I pride myself in an honest approach to photography & film, creating work that feels both relaxed and emotion-filled. I work with both digital and analog film cameras and I love the combination of work I am able to produce by using those two approaches in tandem on wedding days.

MY APPROACH
The thing I hear time and time again from my couples is that they love the relaxed and real moments I capture on wedding days. It’s one of those few occasions where you’ll have all those people together in one space and there’s just already so many beautiful moments that will naturally unfold from that. I will, of course, be more than happy to organise any family or group photos you would like to get, but for the most part, I keep it relaxed and unobtrusive.
I have a love for travel and landscape photography, which feeds into my photography at weddings. In the quiet moments of wedding days, I am often found documenting the surroundings, the space, the details, and, of course, the food! Couples often say to me after, “oh, we didn’t see that” or “we missed that moment, and it was amazing to see it back”. Having worked in hospitality and later as a photographer for magazines, I have an eye for detail and am always on the look out for the little moments and details that build together to give the complete picture of your day.
