Duddingston Kirk & Signet Library Wedding
Charlie & Christina married in April at the beautiful Duddingston Kirk in Edinburgh, surrounded by their friends and family from across the UK & US. Christina got ready at the Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh, where they had held a welcome party the night before. The ceremony was personal and intimate, with some Scottish traditions such as the drinking from the quaich. After the ceremony, all the guests wandered down to Dr Neil's Garden for a champagne reception amongst the spring blossom, enjoying some occasional beams of sunshine. Charlie & Christina arranged for a bus to transport all their guests from Duddingston to the Signet Library, where their wedding reception was held. We went ahead in a taxi to take a few photos of just the two of them around St Giles before heading in to meet everyone in the Colonnades at the Signet Library. They had a few speeches in the lower library before heading upstairs for an amazing meal from Heritage Portfolio amongst the incredible architectural details of the Signet Library. After dinner there was an intermission for ice cream from Edinburgh’s favourite Joelato before the ceilidh was kicked off. The night ended as many Scottish weddings do with all their guests gathering in a circle to sing Auld Lang Syne. Here are a few of my favourite photos captured on digital and film.
