Alnmouth Church & Garden Wedding, Northumberland

Charlotte & Harry were married in July in the beautiful town of Alnmouth on the coast of Northumberland, England. Charlotte got ready at the Cookie Jar Hotel in Alnwick with her bridesmaids and family, whilst Harry got ready at his family home (where the reception was also hosted) with his groomsmen and family. On the day I was joined by my second photographer Joe, which allowed us to capture both Charlotte & Harry getting ready as the logistics and locations made it quite tricky to cover both as one photographer. Guests began to arrive at the house in the morning, where they parked in a nearby field and were then shuttled down to the church on a big red bus with Harry & his groomsmen. The ceremony was held at St John the Baptist Parish Church, right in the heart of the beautiful coastal town of Alnmouth. It was such a lovely ceremony help by Nathanael Hayler in the candlelit church and emotions were running high as Charlotte & Harry exchanged vows and rings.

After the ceremony guests popped across the road for a drink in the The Red Lion Inn, whilst we headed down to the beach to take some family photos and couple photos of Charlotte & Harry. After we had finished these we headed back to the pub for a quick drink before the bus shuttled everyone back up to the house for drinks & canapés in the garden. Dinner was served by Ginger Snap Events in a beautiful sailcloth marquee from Wills Marquees. The space had been beautifully styled with Pookylights, linen from Northfields Linen Hire, crockery & glassware from Crosby Hire and beautiful florals from Ginger House Garden. After some emotional speeches and a beautful dinner, Charlotte & Harry cut the Tiramisu that Harry had made that week before having their first dance. Manhattan Soul Band filled the dancefloor until the evening was rounded out by a fireworks display. This was such a beautiful day to be a part of and below are some of my favourites from the day photographed on digital and 35mm & medium format film.
